Sunday Photo Challenge

First, a link: Sunday Photography Interview: Sean McCormick (Part 2) & Poetry Challenge

Next, a picture:

Picture-9.jpg

Last, a poem:

It was a late October day
My sister and I had been looking for rocks
Not just any rocks, but
Special rocks
The one she found was best, for
It looked like a bird.

I placed it there, on the sill
My sister's rock
It made her smile, and
I always loved her smile, as
Brothers always should
Of sisters.

Every little while now
From one age to the next
I go back there to our old house, and
find that rock again, to
Put it back just, so
I see her smile once more.

Reminded ne of a time my sister and I went looking for special clouds, and we'd lay on our backs and I'll tell her stories of the shapes we saw on those cumulus. Nice gentle take on the prompt

Sharing a sense of history, especially with siblings, is a great joy. Your poem reminds of us of how commemorating the past solidifies bonds in the present.

This is so sweet and yet so sad... a beautifully told story.

Wow. These were nice comments to wake up to.

Usually, I respond to each comment in turn, but here, I will just say that you all have already each formed a sense of completion, so, thank you.

I have been working away at other things all day, so it was nice once again to see the fine comments. My mom would say, "Thanks for the 'warm fuzzies.'"

Now the problem is visiting your blogs. It's a time management thing. I like to leave thoughtful comments too.

Comment: Short. No blogs to visit.

Freddie: Understood. My problem is time to visit them, for I like to take my time.
